Email account of Roger Stone, the self-proclaimed GOP “agent provocateur,” was accessed by spies who used it to target the Trump campaign.

Stone was convicted of seven felony charges in November 2019, including for lying about his attempts to obtain information from WikiLeaks about Hillary Clinton’s emails stolen by Russian hackers and released on the eve of the 2016 election. Trump then pardoned Stone just before leaving the White House in 2020.

    So Iran is scared of Trump getting back in so they’re hacking his associates’s emails?

    Is that because they think Trump wouldn’t care is Israel wiped them off the map?

      Dunno. It says

      “Iran’s operations have been notable and distinguishable from Russian campaigns for appearing later in the election season and employing cyberattacks more geared toward election conduct than swaying voters,” Microsoft said. “Recent activity suggests the Iranian regime—along with the Kremlin—may be equally engaged in election 2024.”

      I wouldn’t be surprised if the GRU was just routing through Iran or the equivalent thereof

      Seeing as Trump is pro Putin and Iran and Russia have a close relationship the only threat making sense would be Israel - apart from worsening US-Iranian relations in general.

      If you’re willing to believe personal vendettas to motivate foreign policy, Trump did both order the killing of general Qasem Soleimani, and kill the Iranian nuclear deal.[1]

      For whatever reason, Iran seems committed to undermine Trump once again this election, as they were in 2020. [2]
