i think one of the worst aspects of modern life is the fact that absentmindedly browsing 4chan in high school because I didn’t want to do homework has helped me to navigate today’s political and cultural landscape. Truly bleak.

yeah it’s sorta been this way for a while. A newer script though seems to be “colleges are all bullshit, if you really want money go to trade school to become a welder.” Of course this is again with a view towards not actually “being a welder” but creating your own contracting company and employing others. The same thing with different words.

Sometimes I have to wonder how much of imposter syndrome is real and how much is just people being shit at their jobs and refusing to recognize it.
Just talked to an old high school friend who became a frat bro in college and the whole thing was very weird. He kept commenting on my looks - “oh bro you look really good.” Like I get saying that once, but he kept saying it and brought it up multiple times during the conversation. I would just say “hey bro thanks you look good too” and he’d go “oh nah bro look at my eyes, I’ve got huge bags under my eyes,” or “ugh bro I look disgusting I’ve gained so much weight” and I’d just go “nah bro you look good to me.” And then we’d talk about something else until he’d just interject like “bro you look really good” and the whole thing would repeat itself. There were other weird things but it felt very odd he kept commenting on my looks throughout. I guess I’m glad I look good though.

yeah I really have no idea, I’ve never paid too much attention to her. I just know that “sailor socialism” video exists and at one point she was close with the chapo boys and sort of adjacent to that whole dirtbag left thing. And now she hangs out with alex jones and sam hyde.
