I’ll take the dumb ringtone over some kid scrolling through TikTok full volume on the bus any day

Except this is also old people

I have seen so many old people blast their phone at full volume. I have seen barely any young people do it

While I might not get out much, every young person I see doing this, has wireless earbuds/headphones of some sort. Like all of them… like they’re repping their brand or something. on one hand it comes off as out of touch, and oblivious to the world, but also I don’t have to hear what they’re watching, and I’m not an angry boomer, so I just shrug it off and move on with life.

Same, fucking hell. When did this become a socially acceptable norm?

Don’t travel to South America then. Seems like the norm to play out loud from your phone there, no matter your age. I once sat at a restaurant in Colombia, where the restaurant was playing loud music, and every other table had someone also playing their own music or TikToks from their phone. I felt like a crazy person being the only one seemingly annoyed by it.

Zoomers refusing to use the phone next to their head, and don’t want to pair their dead bluetooth headphones they lost… so everyone gets to hear their speakerphone conference video call
