Or is it avoided like smoking in cars?
I do, but it’s my car.
I still keep the windows at least cracked so I don’t fog up the place. It also leaves a film on the windows over time, which sucks. But it doesn’t stink the place up like cigarettes do or leave a permanent “smoker” smell. My vape juice smells like donuts, so I consider it an air freshener lol.
Same as (considerate) people do with cigarettes, when I have passengers, I do ask if they mind.
Some rental cars have now added no vaping alongside the no smoking stickers, though.

I’ve started regarding those as one of those “Scary” signs they put up to scare people into complying, but aren’t really all that enforceable unless they sit there and watch you (Or start putting cameras in their cars ig)
The smell just dissipates too quickly, I’ve even vaped pulling into their parking lot multiple times to drop off the car and still nothing lol
I get the rule for cigarettes, it leaves that nasty smell, that nasty yellow coating, damage from burn marks etc etc. but what’s the deal with vapes? It literally does none of those things. Only thing is that annoying windows film, but the only time that shows up (in the time frame of a week or whatever you have it) is if you hot box the shit out of the car lol
It’s also significantly easier to clean off the windows/plasticwork than cigarette residue. Vape juice and its byproducts are literally water soluble. Just, like, use some Windex.
Tobacco crud is nearly impossible to remove, especially from cloth upholstery. I inherited my truck from a smoker and despite thoroughly cleaning it multiple times you can still tell when you sit down that it was owned by a smoker, despite the fact that no one has smoked in it for at least a decade. I’ve decided it’s just my beater truck and I don’t care. (Crank windows, manual transfer case, AM/FM radio, no CD, etc.)
Did your ever try running an ozone machine in it? Windows rolled up, let that thing go for the longest time the timer will do. Be careful to not breathe it when you open it back up to air out. But this took out a really gross wet dog smell in my house when I first bought it. It neutralizes cat urine odor. You may need to do more than one session, but it may work for you.
Yeah, same. I had a 6 hour drive, so was like “fuck it, I’ll pay the blasted cleaning fee”. But it was all good.
I’d say most people who regularly vape probably do. A significant amount of them also vape indoors.
I used to and the smell didn’t really cling to things and it didn’t yellow the walls. I did notice little specs in an almost sneeze like pattern though.
I literally bought a vape so I wouldn’t smoke in my car. It’s quite a bit easier to sell a car that smells like raspberries than one that smells like an ashtray.
The only people I ever actually see avoiding smoking or vaping in their cars are people who don’t smoke.
Being a smoker and not smoking in your car is a thing.
I did. I don’t believe it has any real lasting effect. You’d never know I vaped in any of my cars.
Sure. The worst it does is leave a film on your windshield after several months, which you can clean off with some Windex.
I’m pretty obsessive about keeping my car clean, but I also use a vape. It’s no contest: cleaning up after vaping is 100x easier than cleaning up after actual smoke.
Unless my kid is in the car or if I’m giving someone a ride, yeah. My partners and I don’t care since it doesn’t leave a nasty smell/residue behind.
Yeah, I do, and I know lots of people who do.
Most vapes these days barely have any a cloud at all, unless you are one of the few people who goes out of their way to have an obnoxious cloud generating machine.
Most people are using things about the size of one or two sharpies, and on many settings the things make ‘clouds’ that are barely more visibly obscurant than steam from a pot on a gentle boil.
It does not leave a lasting smell or discoloration like tobacco does.
Its always struck me as odd that many apartments will say that you cannot vape in your apartment.
It is literally undetectable unless they literally see you doing it. I guess its all encompassing to catch people doing it with dab pens or something? But that, like actually smoking, leaves a lasting smell and discoloration, and can seep through walls and air systems… while to the best of my knowledge that does not happen with vapor.
???
I have literally been in apartments where the staff will ‘remind me’ not to vape inside when they see me walking in holding my vape, meanwhile I’ve been telling them about my fentanyl smoking neighbors for months.
Depends on the person. It’s nasty though as that oil in it gets all over the windshield and shit unless stuff has changed with how they work. Used to have to slip seat at work with someone that vaped.
It’s not oil per say but you will get glycerin fogging up your windows over the course of many months.
Propylene glycol (PG) is completely miscible with water, meaning it can dissolve in water.
Judging by the clouds of steam pouring out of the cracked windows I’d presume so. Either that or they have a fire in there.
People do dabs in their cars in South Florida. They carry the rig and concentrates and they stay lit.
When I vaped, I would vape in my car with the window rolled down.
Sure, used to smoke in the car when I smoked cigarettes too. Now it smells like pineapple mango and is much easier to clean, just some windex inside
I keep seeing people blowing vape clouds out of their windows
