The profit motive truly is the best way of organizing a society. The work of whole scores of people to produce all the technology and make it run a computer magnitudes stronger than what landed us on the moon, in service of…of what even? I get what they are doing they are selling clicks and people pay for the clicks, but the people pay for the clicks so that they can get ad money…right?
It’s all too stupid to even think about.
Some of it is a fraud to get ad money, some of it is a fraud to game algorithms and signal boost a channel, some is just smalltime shit for people who are ashamed of getting ratio’d. None of this makes sense under any system but capitalism.
