Welp, it’s been fun, but I think I’ll skip renewing my F1TV subscription this year and spend my money on IMSA/WEC instead. Don’t need to pay money to watch the Max Verstappen Wins Every Race Show again.

I was thinking that at the start of last year but still ended up watching every damn race. It’s an ingrained habit at this point, I guess. Been saying since last spring that we’ll have to wait until 2026 to have a realistic hope of a title fight, most likely. I’d love to be proven wrong. RBR having a headstart combined with the budget cap limiting catch-up potential means it’s just so hard to see any other outcome, and that’s not even getting into Max. Realistically, you’d need to not only match RBR but actually have a slightly faster car to actually get a real title fight. He’s actually that good.

I think I’ll try getting into GT3 racing this year, I heard that’s some great action. All races live on YouTube for free too, I believe. MotoGP is apparently the way to go if that’s up your alley, but I’ve never been into bikes. Might give it a shot anyway.

I’ve been doing mental gymnastics to enjoy watching the other 19. It was a bit of a challenge as I had no experience watching motorsports. But in the end I brainwashed myself. Now many of mid position events enter my brain.

If this is anything to go by then it’s going to be a cake walk for RBR. But it should be spicy for the remaining podium positions!

Everyone always says that day one of testing isn’t an indicator of the season.

But I don’t think max can help himself.

I’m very keen to see how Checo does in the car tomorrow.

There have been rumours for weeks now that the Haas is gonna be bad. But we’ll see…

As it stands, they’d be dangerously close to regularly falling afoul of the 107% rule if one of their drivers had a sketchy Q1.
