WoTC, Reddit, Twitter, now unity. All made changes that their user base said they wouldn’t like, made the changes anyway, then lost a bunch of users. There must be some new business Guru telling everybody to piss off their customers

Idk, every woman I’ve talked to about this seems to have an opinion, and they disagree with you.
My partner and I recently moved to an entirely new city. It’s in a region I’ve lived in before, but a different city.
We found a meet up group called “ 20 something’s meetup” and went to a few events. We found some people we really enjoyed and invited them to a few other events, and still regularly attend the group as a whole. The internet has done a lot of work for us.
This has got to be so embarrassing. Granted, unless the website is in big bold letters, I doubt many people went to the url
I do work in tech, but a lot of what I do now is physical setup. I could not do my current role fully remote, and these jobs only exist in cities or in fairly large companies. Eventually I’d love to move away from the city and work remotely, but that’s not possible right now. I wasn’t trying to generalize to the population as a whole, I was making a comment on my specific experience.
I make more than the article listed for my state, but it’s unlikely I could actually get by on my own, at least not without sacrificing some comforts like a well maintained apartment, eating every day, and paying my bills on time. Granted, I do live in the city. If I lived in the middle of nowhere my CoL would be lower, but then I’d be unemployed.
I like poking them with pins to hear the noise it makes
Stephen Crowder, fairly popular right wing figure. Honestly, I don’t know what he’s done or said that makes him notable, but I do know he is sexist and xenophobic. His wife divorced him for cause and he’s currently on a crusade to make divorce illegal
Yea, I work in a windows shop. All this shit is turned off for any device in our domain. No BYOD either.
“Hey man I’m not too stoked on ice cream”
“What do you have against brownies???”
That’s what you sound like.
Yea, it’s the fact that it seems impossible to resist. Yes, there are better ways than described to check out the holes, but it doesn’t ruin the story for me. I get those impulsive thoughts to jump off of cliffs or drive off roads so this story is the fear of following those thoughts.
Insurance is generally not in the business of breaking contracts. If they have a legitimate reason to not pay, they won’t, but they won’t screw you over just because they don’t feel like paying. The risk is too high
I would love to take a peek at this recipe. I’ll probably try a softer boil on the eggs, get that silky yolk
I also think mastadon was trying to replace Facebook and twitter. A generalized assumption of those users is a lack of technical familiarity. Lemmy is the reddit alternative, and the users there tend to be way more technically proficient, or at least willing to learn.
I was on Narwhal before, but a lot of the design is similar.
I’ve had zero issues with Memmy. Maybe one crash in the couple weeks I’ve had it
Can confirm I just tested it.
Yea, my partner loved the white lotus but I really didn’t like it. Rich people drama, no interest. I’ll need to watch righteous gemstones though
Only thing keeping me on the microwave is bagged popcorn. I have a problem
I agree in principle, but this is practically unenforceable. How do we determine as a society what will be beneficial in 9 generations, and agree?
