i think theres a native option now; but i still use explorerpatcher for various other improvements.

protip: don’t install win11 with a microsoft account; use a local-only account. No problems.

In the past 3 years, I think i’ve only had to occasionally do an update to explorerpatcher; everything else has stayed the same. they don’t ever overwrite group policy changes and such.

Same boat. I did get the zenfone 9, and did the bootloader unlock before they removed the tool, so I’m good for a while. I was looking at new phones, though, and seems like the only viable replacements are the Sony VI and whatever the next google pixel is.

Honestly might be an interesting way to do a tiktok-like. Video hosting is super expensive if its centralized; it takes up so much space and has to be super compressed. If instead everyone who creates content also ran their own instance, then federated with a big normie instance, it could conceivably work. The creator would host their content forever, the normie instance could host it for a short timespan to boost visibility, then viewers follow the normie instance and any creators that they want to see more of (and have archives of their own videos)

I just watched the movie “Some like it hot” from like 1958, and boy do those old movies move fast. Its kind of amazing how information dense they are; not a single frame wasted. Plot moves quickly compared to modern movies.
