But I doubt it would result in much difference in the precision of calculations since the result would still be limited to a float value (edit: I guess I’m probably wrong on that but reducing a fraction would be less trivial I think?)

This is absolutely true, the hardest part of quitting smoking has never been getting rid of the nicotine addiction. It’s not starting again the next time you’re at a bar and your friend goes outside for a smoke and offers you one.

Yeah, I switched to vaping for a few years, slowly tapered my nicotine, and quit. Been about 5 years since I smoked.

Been there (worked with offshore in India). No getting around it, scheduling meetings just fucking sucks when you’ve got a 12 hour offset.

I think most people just install the TOTP app that they’re told to. They probably don’t even know that there’s a choice.

It’s work, not elementary school. Just don’t be late for your first meeting. But also don’t throw meetings on people’s calendar at 8am. It’s a dick move.

The problem is that a lot of these startups don’t make money. The enshittification comes later, first stage is just burning through VC cash to establish market share.
