Good point!
You talking about the metal drum? Seems like that’s necessary. He explains why in the video, tldw: it radiates heat which cools the exhaust, causing it to sink, and this starts pulling air through the combustion chamber. He calls it an air siphon at one point. Yeah you lose some heat from this, but without that siphon it won’t create the jet furnace in the firebox. Maybe there’s a way to engineer that without metal, I have no idea.
Wild that Milkdrop has been the best for over 20 years. I’m old.
Tbf alarms are set to go off at a specific time (at 12:30), timers are for a specific period of time (in 10 minutes). Not defending Google, fuck them anyway
Yup, self hosting Joplin Server via Docker, I have all my clients configured just like you say with server IP:port.
One day I need to figure out this reverse proxy stuff. I have a lot less free time to tinker than I used to.
Sure, sorry for being vague. I’m selfhosting Joplin on a little Docker server. I’m not opening any holes in my firewall to let traffic reach it from the internet at large, nor am I employing a reverse proxy, VPN access, or any other method to reach it from the outside, so I can only sync my devices on my home network.
I’m curious too.
I’ve been using Joplin lately and it syncs fine between my phone and desktop clients. All my notes live on my home FreeNAS box. I’m only letting it communicate on my home network, I haven’t spent the time/effort to set up remote syncing (or vpn from phone to home network, for that matter)
Yw! Glad it worked out.
Ymmv depending on OS and version. I run grapheneOS and mine is in Settings -> Apps -> Defaut Apps -> Opening Links. Scroll down and select NewPipe and enable Open Supported Links. Depending on OS you may be able to set behavior per domain, e.g. open Youtube links in NewPipe but not SoundCloud or Bandcamp links.
What does all this synthetic blood get used for, then?
Another endorsement for AntennaPod, I also use it every single day. No issues with podcast length over here.
But really, we do need (ARBITRARY BARRIER) to (HUMAN RIGHT)
It’s optional for the people on the other side of the mirror only
Android TV may or may not have Kodi on the Play Store depending on your location. I’ve got it on my ‘smart’ TV, no sideloading required.
Of course the TV itself is a POS and stutters during playback so I never use it. YMMV on that front as well.
Tbh I rarely use the plugins anymore, I just like that I have the option… no longer using RSS feeds but when I was, I had a Deluge plugin set up to auto-dl and organize files based on regex. Maybe this is an option in other mature clients these days, I dunno.
I’ve got a docker host and a Deluge container. I think it’s pretty rad to be able to feed the server daemon a torrent from anywhere on my home net and have it get to work downloading and seeding. Was a bit of work but it’s been set-and-forget since.
