I turn off watch history entirely 
It nags you to turn it back on and completely disables the homepage recommended/popular feed but I’ve grown to like it a lot. I still go through my subscriptions tab to find stuff to watch, and I still get related videos on individual videos that I watch that I can hop to if I want to explore outside that bubble of existing subscriptions. It’s like going back to 2014 youtube or whenever they started making the homepage purely algorithmic

its the other way around for those people: they have a beard because they stopped shaving, not because they wanted a nice looking beard.
tbh there is a part of me that resents this “ew you grow facial hair and don’t shave around the edges to create sharp lines” view though. Its like women feeling they have to shave their legs or pits, it’s BS and people shouldn’t be judged for literally just how their body naturally is. Its not like there’s a legitimate sanitary reason for shaving legs or necks.

yah, I’ve been kinda curious but I try to stay light on kitchen gadgets (I don’t even have a microwave) so I haven’t really tried one in earnest. Being able to cook beans from dry would be huge I think, especially in terms of going 
, so maybe I’ll finally do it next time I see one used for cheap. Get rid of the useless air fryer someone gave me last year (I mean I have used it a couple times but I don’t think its for me, and this one is mega shitty/cheaply made)
idk about wifi ones specifically but wasnt the issue with those more the fact that they saturated the market and anyone who wanted one either already had one or could basically just get one in perfect condition secondhand from someone who didn’t use it much? I mean its kind of a gimmick, but not nearly as much as other kitchen gadgets

when it progresses into the realm of “4 guys backing each other up that its totally unnecessary and presumably shutting down the SIL trying to correct them,” and when literally any research or forethought would show that its a horrible idea, then I don’t think it is. It isn’t like “can you believe this person isn’t 1337 like me” it’s “hey can you back me up? otherwise my groupmates are going to tank my grade by being self-deluded arrogant pricks”. It’s the not listening when being told why its a bad idea that sucks, and the sexism aspect, while this is way too 3rd hand to know for sure, is pretty sus from my experience in comp sci circles
