Dealing with computer breaking DRM, and drivers that fix one game and fuckup another is a big reason that I’ve been gaming on consoles more and more.

B-E-A-N-S… Beans.
I support the thin bean line.
The last time I upgraded my PC was to play the Tomb Raider reboot and Bioshock Infinite.
Machine still runs everything great… Except games.
I just switched over to my PS4, and the PS5 for gaming.
Honestly I just got tired of every time I updated my video card driver to make one game work, it broke another game.
YMMV, but I’ve been a happier gamer since I went back to consoles.
I’ll second this.
Machine Oil is amazing.
It keeps my girlfriend’s sewing machine, my 3D printer, and every fan in the house running smooth for years.
My mom kept asking me how I couldn’t believe in (her) God.
I presented her with a massive list of Gods (excluding hers)… Of the 200 Gods on the list, I asked her which ones she believed in.
She said, none.
I said, “You don’t believe in 200 Gods… I don’t believe in 201 Gods… See we’re closer to agreement than you thought.”
And that was the last time we talked about it.
The sad thing is… it doesn’t matter which side of the political fence you’re on… We all know climate change is a real thing, and year after year it gets worse.
But one side wants to address it, while the other side wants to get paid to ignore it.
Then the propaganda machine gets spinning, and you’ve got people that know better arguing against it just because they don’t want “the libs to get a win”.
So, they’d rather watch the world burn than do anything about it.
As conservative as my grandparents were, if you got them talking about it outside of politics, they would agree with you on anything related to climate change… As soon as you brought up any plans to do something about it… It’s t"he Dem are trying to take over your life".
So… So… So very sad.
Seeing the Sega-CD with a retail price of $49.99 hurt my soul.
I bought mine on release day and specifically remember selling my entire pewter figure collection and just barely having the $311.99 (after taxes) for my Sega-CD at “Best”… Not “Best Buy”… Just “Best”.
Still don’t regret it.
Nope.
I launched it once on July first and then deleted it. No reason it keep a non-functional app installed.
Had a lot of fun with RIF, but all good things must come to and end.
I hope KIF comes out someday.
You either like Dune, or you don’t.
I wouldn’t disparage anyone that didn’t.
But damn… The books are amazing. Once you read them, seeing the different takes on the story from the 80’s movie, to the miniseries, to the latest interpretation.
It’s amazing.
That series tried to be so true to the books, but just didn’t have the acting muscle behind it to really shine.
I do love it though.
It’s the first non-marvel move other than Oppenheimer that I’m truly geeked for.
Like, I’m a huge Ant-Man fan, (we do exist) but even for Quantumania, I was… Rightfully cautious…
But I don’t feel that way about Dune and… Christopher Nolan movies.
It’s a nice change of pace to not have the trepidation.
This is literally the plot of every Disney movie lately. Just as entertaining too.
