Former long-time lurker of r/CTH. Just want to chat and post with some comrades. Maybe make some some funny comments along the way.
We put garlic powder but, nobody knew about the glue.
Shit, how did Google find out the secret ingredient to my family’s pizza sauce recipe? I’ve been lying all these years by telling people the unique taste is just lots of oregano and garlic powder.
I remember last year, our supervisor gave us coupons for the other department supervisor to make custom pens from her side gig as a small commercial t shirt printer and etcher. The cherry on top is that she’s the landlord of one of the employees in her department.
I think they also did this where I’m at. Plus t-shirts which the company had printed by one of the more petite bourgeois-minded supervisors to save cost. Literally a Charlie Brown bit.
I miss old OKC. Match turned it into another swiping app.
At times, I wonder how long it will last. Last week, I felt a bit haunted seeing a morbidly obese woman try to work in our department while having to fiddle with her pump for a good part of the shift. I guess I was lucky getting diagnosed earlier. A1C was 5 a few months ago.
I feel good today. Neatly a year out from my T2 diagnosis and I have nearly reached a healthy weight range through dieting and have kept my blood sugar at a normal range. One of the few times in my life where I feel like I accomplished something.
The Mechanical Cyber Turk.
Their promises are always the most bold when they possess the least strength.
This practice of playing music to pregnant stomachs has to die out sooner or later.
The best way to an early success. Lol.
These traditionalists still cling to the notion of a single income family wage despite capitalism having done away with that arrangement nearly half a century ago. They are so unaware of their own contradictions.
Also, it’s nauseating how HR/resume mindset has mutated all social relations in the last 20 years. I can only imagine there must be preschools that require the toddlers to show 10 years experience at the interview.
Thank you for this post. I enjoyed reading it and learning more about this topic.
The sequel we need but, don’t deserve.
