I play games for the games. I might have a preference on the type of TV and shit, but that’s all personal preference. If the game is good, it’s good on either one.

I might check this one out later. I usually use audiobookbay, but half the links are dead if it’s more than 5 months old. And i keep forgetting to try and log in at the right time for Myanonymouse.
My boyfriend only has a year left of nursing school. With so many countries having a shortage, we are thinking that might help us. Like apperantly in Japan they have a program to get people in for nursing and you can buy a house for cheap. But I’m not sure if I want to love in Japan. About 3-4 months ago I actually had some people from Australia on reddit giving me a lot of good info to help us get over there, and one person was talking to me about New Zealand.
So here’s to hoping. I’m gonna miss my family and friends. It’s gonna be hard, but I’m tired of this place.
Even better. Shit in their box. Assert dominance.
Yup. This was it for me. Ordered a burger from a no name local place. It came in a Red Robin bag and container. Apperantly they gave no fucks. Since then if I found a place, and it turned out to be real, I just marked it with the heart. Anything not marked it either a big name chain restaurant, or it’s suspect. Especially since we also know about ghost kitchens where it’s one place posted under at least 10 different restaurants.
Edit: Just for shits and giggles, I just loaded up the app. First place I didn’t recognize I checked and Google shows it in the middle of an industrial complex. No restaurant signs anywhere to show where it’s at.
Then I saw “the burger den”, which another person said is Dennys. Google maps takes it to Dennys
Apperantly kids are cheaper than I thought
I also feel like it’s become more right wing. Or at least now that some people have left, the balance has shifted further to the right. I went on yesterday, and r/WhitePeopleTwitter, a fairly left wing sub, is now having a lot of Republicans. Really killed my desire to go back. It was something I know a lot of people predicted would happen, but still sad in a way to see.
Edit: Also the fact that the main niche subs I went to are dead. They used to be pretty active, but since they reopened, a lot of users were not happy. So now it’s a post every few days. I think one of the subs just got completely deleted. Sadly they’re not as active here.
I missed it. Like I was around, but I don’t know what started it. Just logged on one morning and learned I wasn’t allowed to shit for 3 days.
You can’t tolerate fascism. To tolerate that and let genocide happen is to be a piece of shit as well.
“When a Nazi is a Nazi, don’t come crying to us who support the Nazis”
Yeah, I never took it as preferential treatment or anything. Part of it is just that I used Boost for Reddit, so a part of me wants thinks it would be cool to continue to support them. I’ll probably just stick here though. I’m sure eventually someone will make an app.
I’ve used Boost for reddit, and I’m on KBin, but it looks like between this and most of the other apps focusing on Lemmy, I might just switch over.
Yeah, I gives me similar vibes as “I don’t see color.”
But even if we remove bigotry and politics and all of that… labels aren’t necesarily bad. Like I am a creature who identifies as one of two main types of sexes that is sexually and emotionally attracted to creatures who identify as the same.
Which is a weird way of saying I’m a man who is sexually and romantically attracted to men, but those are labels, so I couldn’t say man, human, etc.
Of course I could also just say I’m gay. While yes, everyone is a little different, it has worked so far for me. People tend to get it.
Labels are not bad. It’s an idea only used by edgy teenagers and liberals who want to be good for the praise more so than for simply being good.
I’ve thought about going for all the stars in M64, but never get around to it. Might start doing that here soon.
And many many more think you’re a bigot.
If we ignore the sequence of events and our countries history they would more or less be equal.
But since we can look at the sequence of events and our countries history, no.
Which is funny because so many of them love to defend comedy shitting on others and claiming anything goes in comedy. Like my step-dad loves joked about other religions, but got angry when I was younger and we rented Dogma. Absolutely refused to watch it.
I would argue at some point they would need to reject modern living as a whole. Go build an A frame in the woods. Forage for berries and shit. Many aspects of the ways we live cause deaths. Like cars hitting animals. So if a single animal is too much, I have a feeling they should really be following that mindset.
Not only is it interesting, and not only is it something they could have left for later
But why would someone be upset at a quick 10 second mental break from work? Take a second to breath. Let out some stress. You didn’t send them a novel and require them to read it then and there and throw all of their work off. It was just a quick little micro break.
And it’s gonna suck for most of us in a lot of ways. Like I moved up north partially because of politics back in 2014. Now some are eventually gonna follow and move up here as well. Plus, I can’t afford a house. A lot of people can’t afford one. But when more and more people come, we won’t have enough. Unless we see some real, meaningful changes in the way we handle housing, it’s gonna be a shit show.
I was talking to my mom back in I think 2020 and the subject of the cost of a home came up. I told her how much they are here, and she said me and my boyfriend should move near her and some other family in St Louis. While I would love to be near family, I’m gay. I’m not moving to a red state. And I’m not looking to buy a house I will eventually need to abandon with no one buying it. That’s a lot of money to just lose.
