What’s the address for that “lite” version of Hexbear someone developed recently? I forgot to bookmark it and I’m driving through some areas with slow connections.

I briefly looked into Eastern Orthodox Christianity in my deconversion process. I liked some aspects like how they view heaven/hell and in general they seemed pretty level headed but I never really explored them any deeper, I assume there’s plenty of problematic aspects with them too.

Evangelical beliefs about the “end times” are hilarious, some day I should write up an effort post all about it. I wish more people knew about it. I was raised premillenial dispensationalist in particular, AMA.

All because of one book that barely made it into the Bible, written by some hopped up dude who could barely write Greek, and was not really taken literally until a couple centuries ago. And when you take it literally you come up with some real crazy shit, y’all don’t even know the half of it.

Pro sports in the US are really doing everything they can to cram ads in. They’ve maxed out on commercial breaks so they’re going in another direction: playing surfaces and uniforms are getting more ads on them. If you want to watch the game, you have to see the ads. If you don’t watch sports much I’d encourage you to just watch a game for a few minutes (the NHL especially) and see how bad it’s gotten.

If someone was actually worried about the continuance of the human race, they would probably focus on climate change, super viruses, nuclear war - the things that could actually wipe out humanity. Or maybe if you’re concerned about the advancement of humanity, you would want to make sure everyone on planet earth could get a good education and create opportunities for all of humanity to reach their full potential.

Musk has never implies he wants any of that. What he has done (and often) is use language that implies he really only cares about white civilization, and carefully chooses words that give him (in his mind at least) the ability to “nuh uh I’m not talking about race I’m talking about VaLuEs” or whatever.
