Real talk… Dishcloths. I can’t say I’m a huge fan of cotton, but they’re just long enough to get me out of a slump, and functional.

I very much appreciate the concern and I agree! My hobby does not need to be part of her big day. But I do think that given the discussion, the details, and that my sister originally taught me to knit this could be something special… Even if it just makes it into a photo or two.
I think I feel a bit more confident, actually, with the advice I’ve been given so far. I’m seeing the bride this weekend, and I can show her the fiber in person (so far she’s only seen it via video) and my earliest swatches. But I’m also going to hold just a little back for now… Because I don’t want to over promise :)
I appreciate the questions! This has been discussed with the bride, and her dress was picked out first so that motifs and color might be derived thereafter. The dress is ivory, has some leaf/flower motifs, and my sister is also a knitter. So we’re on the same page about what this means. She sent detail pics of the bodice so I could work in similar motifs.
And I’m truly, truly aware that this could be a “take a couple pictures, have a moment, put it away forever” type piece.
Wow. That is incredible. What a labor of love.
