I got a refund through the livechat outside the trial period a couple years ago by repeatedly replying “i understand what you’re saying, but i still require a refund, thank you” each time the person explained why they were unable to issue a refund. After five times or so they said “a refund has been issued” and ended the chat. I was only getting like 15% of my internet speed when torrenting. Switched to mullvad and no problems other than it doesn’t bypass regionlock with netflix.

I am not at all saying that that isn’t exactly what happened, but it could also be that they or IT (as in all of the automated parts of the platform in failing concert) just fucked up. By repeatedly stating an issue I was having multiple times over the course of a week in the “daily help thread” of one of the projects’ Discourse I developed a small amount of rapport with a QM that I think may have gone some way in keeping tasks and missions in my queue. My experience has been that there are “higher-ups” that do actually want to help when you reach out but the entire thing is so poorly managed that they don’t always know how. I don’t at all mean to shortchange the idea/reality that your account has been flagged- just trying to tie my personal experience to some degree of optimism. I’ve never had a salary though, damn, what a thought. I’m combining outlier with a local part-time gig to get by atm, definitely not ultimately sustainable but the outlier dough has given me a small amount of breathing room. You gotta let me know how being a paid sex chatter goes if (WHEN) you get that gig. Sounds like it’d be funny but I bet it’ll be a bit of work and I certainly hope there would be some good money there! Personally I’ve had my eye perpetually on a post-office gig for like two years now and I’m running out of road to kick the can down.

Other darthsenio news: this freakin’ AI gig work shit has actually been working out for me so far, thanks again @corgiwithalaptop@hexbear.net (no lie, I spun my unearthly geometry vinyl just the other day while playing some hanafuda with friends). There have been some near-cataclysmic hiccups with the dog shit website bouncing me between projects, but nevertheless, she persisted
They’ve given me money for the most ridiculous stuff dawg. I drank a bottle of orange bitters the other night and did tasks about peter griffin and the sopranos for one project while a totally different project paid me extra.

Also I promise I will actually post music and probably videos again sooner than later. I just started working on like 14 different things at once and finishing any of them is a lot less convenient than starting them, but do not worry they will all be bad eventually.

An update on learning to kickflip in one week: I certainly did try but was nearly immediately stymied severely by throwing my back out on like my fourth ollie, which actually sent me to bed for a solid week. I’ve only had back spasms once, like a year ago, and only a couple. This time was like five times worse haha. It straight up took me all the way to the floor in the hallway on the way back from the bathroom the first night and made me fantasize about purchasing a walker to get around the house

I knew my timeframe was comically confident but I didn’t think it would hurt me so badly so hilariously quickly. I’m not giving up though, I’ll learn this shit if it kills me I AM NOT OLD. The good news is I can still ollie (basically the only thing I could ever do) surprisingly high, surprisingly easily, which is a relief. I’ll maybe give it another week and then ride around for a bit before committing as hard.
