    I believe so, yes! Cavalry at the start of WW1 on all sides still included men equipped with lances. Bizarre to think about, on the eve of industrialized warfare!

      Makes sense. I just went down a small rabbit hole and discovered the last U.S. Calvary charge was lead by Edwin Ramsey on January 16, 1942 against Japanese infrantry troops supported by tanks in the Philippenes.
