    Use a small blade to cut the wire on the back of one of the terminals. They likely have a small hole or the terminals slide in. Alternatively it either clips together or has 1-2 screws. Cutting the wire will result in multiple batteries and much more wasted time. No one has a meter to check the batteries in an office. All batteries must be bad when they do not work in a remote that did work days ago.
