Don’t you love it when the subtitles tell you what kind of mood the music is evoking?

This is called SDH subtitles if you prefer this type of subtitle. Subtitles for Deaf and Hard of Hearing. It’s made for people who have hearing disabilities.

SDH subs are good and necessary but I hate how streaming services often only have SDH. I just want subtitles for the dialogue, I don’t need every sound effect and music cue annotated as I can hear those perfectly fine.

As an old, my hearing is only slightly sub-par, but I benefit a lot from these. One show I watch often has extremely quiet sounds or voices in the background that are plot-relevant, but I wouldn’t hear at all.
