I had an Uber driver once who was shocked to find out that getting knocked out from a blow to the head (while kickboxing, in her case) is… Not so good for the brain. She was completely shocked to learn this.
How fucking bad is our educational system that people just don’t know stuff like this?
People watch movies, see someone get their lights turned off with a shovel to the back of the head, they wake up a few minutes later with a bit of a headache, and think that’s what getting “knocked out” is…
The amount of times I’ve seen someone get hit in a movie and think “Welp, they’re dead” is ridiculous; Kevin McCalister is a murderer.
