Been stuck on the same project for months now and am feeling a bit burnt out on it. I would like a change of pace with another project but also I’m getting close to the end of it. Just need to power through

Saw a slug in my kitchen the other night. I read a news article once about a boy who ate a slug as a dare and ended up dying a grim death, so now I’m paranoid that one is going to slime its way across something I eat (or eat from) and the same thing will happen to me.

So today, I need to look into how to deter the little fellows.

You might already know this, but I was curious. It seems you’ll if you eat a snail itself hiding in lettuce or something. So as long as you’re washing your lettuce and looking at your produce, you’re fine.

What a gross dare though. Lol

The air conditioner at my house has been broken for the past few days in the midsts of record heat. So we’ve been staying with family. I’m looking forward to getting the work week done, hopefully getting my AC unit fixed tomorrow, and then going back home.

how hot is it? as an europan i’m amazed that others make the effort to live somewhere else just because the AC is not working.

Our house is up to 90 degrees F, which according to Google is 32.222 C. With a toddler and a newborn in the house, it’s just too uncomfortable to deal with when we have other options.

32C° indoors? holy crap, yeah that’s a lot. makes more sense now to take other options, especially with a toddler that might be more sensitive to the heat
