Hi people, I hope someone can answer this or share their experience. Two days ago, I went through a major thunderstorm with my trusty old '95 GSF600, lots of rain and I periodically went through up to 15 cm deep puddles of water. I noticed after a few minutes that my throttle became ineffective at more than 30° throttle turn. “Above” that, the engine started to sound more like a two stroke and did not deliver additional power. My suspicion is that she ran to rich during that period, could that mak sense? After I exited the storm, everything slowly went back to normal and she seems to be running fine ever since.
Questions:
- Why did this happen? (Engine too cool or air intake too humid?)
- Am I risking any permanent damage by doing such things?

Is your air box properly sealed? Almost sounds like your air filter sucked in water.
