It’s a little bit disheartening to not hear them discuss agricultural workers in the global South who are hyper-exploited by nestle. Like, you are making a pittance at $12/hour and doing all of the finishing labor, but they are making less than $0.50/hour and doing brutal physical labor outdoors for much longer shifts.
It’s vital that the global North coffee labor movement recognize and advocate for the global South workers their industry relies upon. Anything less is the most vulgar kind of labor aristocracy.
