It would be very meta if a giant toy maker like Hasbro put this into production, not just this one pictured but the whole line including the “Workers seizing the means of production” action playset and even bastardized ideas like a superhero team up group of 4 member action figures representing: The economic, The political, The cultural, and The environmental-corporeal
The toys would be manufactured in sweatshops by non-union workers with no healthcare and in dangerous working conditions. We’d buy them in droves supporting the ideas they represent when in fact we’re supporting the antithesis of the real meaning and instead the very corporate interests these symbols are supposed to contradict. Its the capitalist way.
For the guillotine set, the decapitable action figure would have a head that couldn’t be reattached. If you want more heads to roll, more disposable figures would have to be purchased in separate packs.
They could also be sold in blind bags, collect them all!
One time use headless bodies would be sold in one pack. Heads, with extra long one-time-choppable necks, would be sold in a different pack.
Bodies would be sold in packs of 5. Heads would be sold in packs of 4, requiring you to buy TWO packs of 4 to have enough heads to match the 5 bodies in that one pack and leaving you with 3 unused heads requiring the purchase of another pack of 5 bodies to consume the heads. Repeat ad infinitum.
