Is this the part where we point out that several US states have or are trying to cut meals for kids and several countries already have?

Does nobody read history books? This is /literally/ the worst timeline.

I don’t know what year this cartoon is actually from, but 80 years ago was 1944, and there were some things going on. Otherwise, I completely agree with the sentiment.

Poor marketing, they should have advertise Healthcare for War, Science for War and Art of War.

This is good, but it leaves out the transaction that is happening, since they’re definitely not overfunding the military out of the kindness of their non-existent hearts…
They’re doing it for profit and power - for land and resources, for cheap or even slave labour that comes from war (either locally and often outsourced, or in the form of refugees and immigration, all often to the very countries who caused the destruction and poverty in the first place, how convenient), for geopolitical control, for sowing division among the global working class to stop us from uniting, and so much more suffering and destruction that all gain a very small group of people complete control over society.

I don’t disagree with the sentiment, but i think it’s important to remember that the military budget is near 1T but the budget for healthcare spending is nearly 3T.

edit: brain fart on billion vs trillion

Well, kind of a whitepill honestly, isn’t it?

If our grandfathers survived this hellscape, so can we.

I mean, you need to be able to survive before you can learn to thrive, but be aware that the skills required for the former are not the same as those required for the latter.
