I *used to buy games on disc, complete them in a few weeks and then either sell it on marketplace or trade it into GAME.
Unfortunately, with the advent of the digital only versions of these consoles, that market has utterly dried up and I can’t move games on anymore, and GAME totally takes the piss with regards to what they’re willing to offer.
So, yay I guess. Long live only being able to buy games for above RRP on the digital store front.
As a PC gamer who tends to buy most of their games in Steam sales, I assure you that gaming on the cheap in a digital world is most assuredly possible.
The open ecosystem of that pc and the closed one of the consoles aren’t really comparable though. I’ve got so much more choice on PC than I do on console.
Fair point, I suppose the fact that I need a decent desktop PC for other things too means that it makes sense to spend a little more to get one that is also decent for gaming.

… Yeah once you’ve also bought a gaming PC for more than I’ve spent on my PS5 and all the games I’ve bought for it since.
