I have a Logi G935. G Hub has finally stopped pooping the bed and is decent software now. But after a bit over 3 years the G935 has worn out - it’s full of loose connections to the right-side earcup and the mic. Very disappointing. Also the earpads are flaking, but that’s normal wear.
So, looking for recommendations. I like Logi hardware, but obviously I’m not going to buy another one of these if they’re still lemons.
Sorry if this is the wrong community for this.
Admittidetly I haven’t really dug into headphones for a while, but my information should still be good.
You should go either Sennheiser or audio Technica, both have been known for quality and to exchange blows on who’s best at what price point. if you don’t need a mic built in the hd280 pro is the best value audiophile headphones at 100$ mine have lasted 10 years though they need new pads.
If you do need weird headphones with a mic there’s a few good options from both brands, though you’ll be going under EPOS for Sennheiser, look for 2-3 at your desires price point and then look up some reviews, there’s a lot of subjective stuff with headphones but I always recommended the game one’s to people
there’s also wireless if you’d prefer and if you want to throw down some good money for a good pair of wireless headphones my friend recently went for the Audeze Maxwell Wireless Headphones but they are 300$ otherwise the GSP series outside of the bottom tier ones should both sound good and have a good enough mic
Thanks. I’ll look at those Audeze things. I use my headset for meetings and I pace when I talk (standing desk) so wireless and a good mic are must-haves.
I will say, my friend who used them did have a bit of setup to do for the mic, but I think the main things was automatic gain control being turned on and bumping the windows mic sound setting to 70-80% instead of 50 and he hasn’t had any problems since
