Google's Preferred Care for Pixel devices is a confusing experience

I bought Preferred Care for my Pixel 8 Pro. I needed to use the service to fix some shattered rear glass, and it wasn't a smooth experience.

  Yeah, but with a skin on it doesn’t really matter. Even without the skin, it wasn’t that bad. But the skin definitely improves the grip.
