From what I heard this morning it seems to be caused by a mycoplasma (bacterial) infection that happens to be having a surge right now, combined with people (including little kids) having weakened immune systems due to having had covid. Covid is like AIDS in very often not causing severe illness in its own right, but rather, opening the way to other infections by suppressing the immune system. It should not be trifled with.

      Fuck mycoplasma!

I thought I had got a cold when it first hit, but in the end I was out of work for one and half month, completely messed up.

It happened in the summer of 2019, and it was worse then when I later got Covid…

I couldn’t even swallow my medicine, the pills were too big, so I tried to dissolve them in water and drink it, but the taste was soo bad that I started coughing, and had to sip it alternating with juice to take the taste away.

I had to go to the hospital for the first time ever, but only needed to stay for two nights, once they gave me penicillin in the blood stream, it started clearing up, and the swelling of my throat went down, I also got better penicillin pills, that I could swallow.

I do not recommend the experience, 0/5 stars, avoid if possible.
