Hello, Protestant German here. I’m hearing a lot about the infamous Quran burnings in Sweden, and find it very strange. To me it’s fighting fire with fire, and as Muslims are very religious I can imagine it hurts them a lot.
Can someone help me understand how this makes sense?
Maybe I don’t have the full picture. Thank you!

jspnyufThere’s something called freedom of speech in our country.
That means you’re allowed to think what you want, and others are allowed to critize it. You may be pissed off by that, but you may not hinder others opinions / views.
And most importantly, the state does not have the right to limit your views.
I do not really see how this is hard to grasp.
Do you think it’s OK that someone feeling’s should decide what others can do?
OK cool. I see you play video games. I think video games are stupid.
Please stop playing video games, it hurts me a lot when you do.
Maybe muslims should stop being so fucking fragile or go live in countries were you’re not allowed freedom of thought, expression and will?
Oh right, they don’t want to live in those countries because they’re garbage - as a result of their non existing freedom(s).

jspzednThe freedom of 6 is limited in Sweden. F.ex, you can say what you want about islam but not muslims. Hate speech against a group of people is forbidden in Sweden. Other stuff like death threats and slander to.
