A Reddit admin told the moderators of one protesting subreddit that “the expectation here is that communities reopen.” r/DIY has reopened, but with new rules that lower the community’s quality standards for new posts.
I always thought that once they were forced to open, mods should just do fuck all. Bots, scammers, redditors trashing the place? It’s open isn’t it? You ain’t paying me.
Then the sub would be considered unmoderated, and reddit would have grounds to remove/replace the mods
