Gotcha, yeah all of that absolutely re-contextualized the early part of the series and raises even more questions. Also I feel so silly for just now noticing it but in certain angles Luffy’s strawhat straight up looks like a halo from medieval art depictions

4·3 months agoYeah, I’d go for it. I already know that it’s inevitable. Being able to not fuck over my loved ones by having certain things in order would make things easier for them.

16·5 months agoThis is probably stupid but I wanted to post it: I was rewatching Matrix revolutions last night and was awestruck by an essentially minor detail. It’s in the scene where the robots are attacking Zion. 2 characters are in a duo running through tunnels doing hit and run attacks with rocket launchers against the machines. And it just struck me as so interesting because I have watched that EXACT same situation with resistance fighters in Gaza. Dudes doing hit and run tactics from tunnels firing rockets at tanks. I know Lana and Lily likely drew inspiration from real world examples but seeing al-Qassam videos that look almost identical is so fascinating.
Also, the matrix trilogy was significantly better than I remember them being and I don’t really get why they were hated so much at the time. I was still a kid when they all came out but distinctly remember the jokes of “the matrix 2 and 3 never happened”
17·5 months agoYouTube sent him a cease and desist for an app he is creating/distributing claiming that the app is using YouTubes API in an app but apparently the app doesn’t use the API. So he basically replied “No, we aren’t using that data, check our open-source code” and that he has no plans on stopping
