I think it’s just a mistake in the graphic. F1 app has him 11th, ahead of Ocon

So now only Perez has a mathematical chance of beating Max to the championship?

I wish they would show this kind of analysis before and after the race, especially as we get towards the end of the season.

Technically Lewis and Fernando have a chance, assuming Max scored zero for the rest of the season and they outscored Checo and each other while winning every race, I think Fernando needs fastest lap points and a good haul from the remaining sprints. Obviously that’s only happening if Max gets a season ending injury and they get very lucky with Ferrari and McLaren dropping back down the pecking order.

Yeah sadly. Man he had such a great run this season. It was fun watching him race and being on the podium. I wish Seb also had a chance before he retired.

Piastri could end up 9th after the next race. I’m actually amazed that Stroll even has that many points.

As in McLaren fan I now have to fairly regular occurrence of thinking “omg how high can we go?”

… And then being reminded of just how dominating Aston Martin were at the start of the season.
