A Ford Motoer Company patent application filed in February and published last month proposes software that would monitor in-car conversations and other data to help serve up advertisements.
Car manufacturers have brilliantly managed to convince me never to buy a car made after ~2015.
It’s gonna be standard practice to pull the cellular modem out of cars when putchased, or at least pull the fuse.

They’re gonna tie it into a safety component so it can’t be messed with. Likely they’ll say it’s tied to the emergency system that can alert authorities in the event of an accident.
