Chelsea are on the verge of signing Jadon Sancho from Manchester United. The deal, which has been agreed between both clubs, will see the England international move on an initial loan with the west London club having an obligation to make the switch permanent next summer. The 24-year-old will then be expected to sign a long-term contract at Stamford Bridge. The Athletic reported earlier on Friday that an agreement was expected to be reached to end his three-year stay in Manchester.     Officially done now!! Pretty good deal money wise for Chelsea, although we get his enormous salary paid by them as well.

    Win/win for either team.

    Watch him become the first choice left winger for the next decade at Chelsea.

    Incredibly talented, with none of the necessary commitment to improve his game.

      I think that salary bit is the biggest piece and would explain the lower selling price after the loan spell.

        Understand Chelsea won’t pay a loan fee for Sancho but the upside for Utd is that the large majority of his £250k-a-week wages will be covered and they are guaranteed a fee of up to £25m at the end of the season depending on Chelsea’s PL position #mufc

        covering most of his wages means around 10m saved for this season.

        20-25m income to cover the remaining of his book value with some profit for the next season and also 12m wages off the book for next season.

        I am personally just glad to be rid of him.
