For me it was the Knight’s greatsword until i got the Godskin peeler. That running roll catch r2 is phenomenal.

Now i run straight to the twinblade, then godskin peeler, then black steel twinblade.

I tried every single faith/strength weapon in the DLC but still kept coming back to the good old Blasphemous Blade.

Though I did beat Messmer with Ordovis’s Greatsword

Everyone and their mother seems to be using the Blasphemous Blade these days. I see it more than Rivers of Blood and Moonveil now.

I do my best work with nothing more than a big stick. Start with small stick, then just run a bit from the start to grab big stick. Later on, you can get an even bigger stick.

I like the clubs and hammers categories. The poise damage on them is great. Staggering bosses is a good time.

Purposefully limited myself to DLC weapons only. I think Relanna’s blades are a lot of fun, and also found backhand blades really useful, especially the circular ones I can throw. Quite a few tough enemies can be taken down easily by short distance throws and the doing the quick sidestep hit they use. Black twinblades with sacred arc (forget the exact name) are very powerful too. I gotta respec at some point just so I can try more of the spells yet, but at no point have I felt the need to go back to base game weapons
