lovely! what DAW do you use? Are those drums active synthesis or samples?

the way it swells is very appealing, you’ve got a good sense of pacing!

Thank you! I used Fruity Loops. The drums were samples - I put every bit of it into piano roll one by one. I don’t know the correct term for it…

Cool! What was it inspired by, if anything?

I hope you can record it someday :D

      Thanks!

I was playing the piano bit over and over again, just to warm up my fingers. Then the ticking, and drums, and orchestral strings began swirling in my head. So this was my attempt at capturing that. It turned out much more intense than I meant it to, but I like it.

It does sound intense, like it’s over a video game trailer. I like it.

        Thanks for sharing!

A lot of people have said a lot of my music sounds like video game music. I used to be so offended, because I thought they meant the cheap and nasty 8-bit stuff. But I’ve since learnt (I don’t play video games) that modern video game music is actually very sophisticated and soundtrack-like.

Oh yeah, for sure. Personally I’m too young to think immediately of the arcade 8-bit stuff. The only games I’ve played are Destiny 2 and Minecraft, and both of those games’ soundtracks are absolutely beautiful.
