A few months after opening a non-compliance case on Apple and the Digital Markets Act (DMA), the European Commission has shared its preliminary findings with Apple. And the bottom line is that the current App Store rules are in breach of the DMA. Confirmed violations of the DMA can lead to fines of up to 10% of global annual turnover.
Different coverage:
Even though the EU commission is trying to break crypto (an impossible and monumentally idiotic task), my Schadenfreude is great when reading news like this. Fuck Malus and their anti-competitive business practices. Shame on the people who knowingly buy their products while knowing full well what kind of a shitty company they are.
My only concern is that after these new elections, the EU commission will be infiltrated by even more corruptible right wing hypocrites, willing to sell the continent to corporations across pond while screaming their heads off about “immigrants”.
