Former Wasps wing Odogwu gets Italy World Cup call

Italy have named former Wasps wing Paolo Odogwu in their World Cup squad which also includes fit-again star full-back Ange Capuozzo.

After being discarded by England, Odogwu is in the italy squad. Good for him!

    This is like when someone famous dies that you thought had been dead for years. I legitimately thought Odogwu had already been capped.

    Nice group for Italy. It feels a bit like they’ve been making strides over recent years, but just not fast enough to keep up with the other tier one nations. With their age group teams doing half decent, it feels like they’re finally starting to make some real progress.

      I thought he’d been capped by England but maybe he was only named in the squad and trained with them. Unless he was capped in the under 21s?

          Got called to the squad but never played, according to wiki. Represented England in age grade (u20), then switched in 2021 after not playing in the 6N.
