I was gifted a SAK a while ago. Originally the scales were camo, which made it hard to find when dropped in grass. I didn’t use it much for fear of losing it.

So gave it new yellow scales, the plus ones that add the pen slot, then added the pen, a red pin and and corkscrew screwdriver.

Put it on a hi-vis nylon cord for good measure.

This is gonna be my new camping companion!

Yellow scales are a great way to go!

I have a Tinker redone in yellow on my keychain and finding my keys has become way less difficult. I’ve had the knife for three decades and it didn’t truly become my EDC until I rescaled it.

No problem. Almost identical to the one that started the thread, except the corkscrew got swapped out for a phillips-head screwdriver.

I’ve not yet had the guts to change out tools. I do miss that my tool has no scissors.
